In recognizing that some parents experience a great deal of conflict following a separation, which can negatively impact the children, Kawartha Family Court Assessment Service is now offering New Ways for Families® as a structured program for parents to learn and practice skills to positively co-parent and make parenting decisions together. Each parent will meet with their clinician separately and should be participating in the program around the same time for the program to be most effective. Parents will learn to better communicate with their co-parent, improve decision making, and put their children first.
Kawartha Family Court Assessment Service provides the New Ways for Families® (NWFF) program with or without a Court order. The cost for this service is $900 for each parent to participate in their 6 individual sessions. We are able to offer the option of parent-child sessions which consists of an additional 3 sessions at $150/hour.
